News, Issue 2

Hi all! Welcome to our second news post, where we share our exciting new initiatives with you, as well as our recently completed projects and future work.

First, as we’re sure you’ve noticed, is that we’ve finally published Warrior of the Demon City, book two of the Digital Devil Story trilogy. There were a number of setbacks to getting this one out, not least which of were a catastrophic hard drive failure that erased the half-completed copy I was working on and me getting hit by a red Cherokee Jeep, but it’s out!

However, that leaves us in a bit of a conundrum, as the last book of the Digital Devil Story trilogy, Demise of the Reincarnation, has not been translated. To address that, we’re issuing a $80 bounty to the first person to hand us the translation. Please spread the word!

We’re also excited to announce that we have a new short coming your way next week! Skilled social media and public relations practitioner Kate Ottavio has fallen to the dark side and has started writing a series of stories for her character Elizabeth Kent. They’ll be slice of life tales, and she does them quite well, keeping everything as open-ended as life truly is. Her first story, It’s All Normal, will be out next Tuesday, December 21!

On slice of life, on January 5, 2011, we’ll be publishing Ryuno Core’s The Longing of Shiina Ryou. This light novel is slice of life, comedy, supernatural, and is actually fairly difficult to define, genre-wise. Let’s call it a genre-buster. A very fun, funny read that will become a series.

The next projects Zehava will be working on will be editing the strangely popular slice of life Japanese light novel Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai (My Little Sister Can’t Be This Cute) and Ryuno Core’s Metamonogatari for publication. Ore no Imouto may be out by end of year.

Working on a few other short stories as well, but not sure when they’ll be done yet.

Lastly, we need staff! If anyone is interested in becoming an editorial assistant, please let me know!

That's all for now! We'll be tweeting as we go along, so stay tuned!

-Zehava
